Cable Veteran Lorenz Glatz Calls for New Approach to Service Operations; Joins Guavus’ Board of Industry Advisors

Champions Company’s Innovative Analytics Products for Service Analytics and Ushering in New Way of Improving Operations and Quality of Experience

SAN MATEO, Calif. – Nov 3, 2015 – Guavus, Inc., a leading provider of big data analytics applications for operational intelligence, today announced that it is further strengthening its expertise in the cable industry with the appointment of industry veteran Lorenz Glatz, former Chief Technology Officer – Kabel Deutschland, to its board of industry advisors. Recognizing the need for a new category of service operations based on big data analytics, Glatz joined Guavus’ Board of Advisors to accelerate the company’s offerings to new markets and provide valuable direction for on-going innovation.

This appointment is part of Guavus’ on-going commitment to advance progress for the cable industry, following its strategic investment injection from Liberty Global and the launch of the next generation of Guavus Service Reflex 3, a new category of service operations analytics that combines network operations, care operations and field operations to provide a holistic view of the service and customer experience.

Industry veteran Lorenz Glatz commented: “I see tremendous promise in Guavus’ products. They have pioneered a new category of service operations analytics that allow enterprises to not only correlate the impact network events have on service quality, but to take action in real-time to positively affect customer experience. This holistic approach, which can be applied to virtually any industry, is exactly what businesses need to compete, grow and succeed in today’s rapidly changing market.”

“We are fortunate to have a Board of Industry Advisors that are so effective and engaged and are now privileged to welcome Lorenz to the team,” said Anukool Lakhina, CEO and Founder for Guavus. “His expertise and guidance will be instrumental as we continue to extend into new markets around the world and to pioneer new products that allow the cable industry to exceed customer expectations across multiple channels, increase profits and rapidly bring new offerings to market.”

In addition to this appointment, Guavus has joined the SCTE Standards Program where it will collaborate and help shape the future of industry-wide standards for the deployment of proactive network maintenance, next generation service assurance and customer experience management solutions. The company will work with SCTE to ensure that big data analytics products and data assets are available to further key initiatives, such as the Energy 2020 program, the Network Operations Subcommittee (NOS) and the Special Working Group on Readiness for DOCSIS 3.1.
